It makes me sad

Sometimes it makes me sad when I walk in the streets these days, you know?
It makes me sad to see so many people walking and buying stuff they really can´t afford...
It so sad that they don´t even know what they´re celebrating.
Well I know! And sometimes I wish I could rise myself up high in the sky and scream out what I know:
We celebrate Christmas because we celebrate the beginning of God´s precious plan for human kind, Jesus´ birth.
He, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords came to born here in our dirty and dark planet to live as human, the only perfect human and then die for each one of us...
The amazing thing is, we deserved to be on His place, on that cross and yet He died for us and He´s alive.
He raised from the dead and went away to heaven again so we could believe in Him, repent from our sins and have the eternal life he offers...
THAT´S AMAZING!
I would gladly give up every single gift I got this Christmas because I HAVE HIM! I have God in my life and Jesus in my heart! I need nothing more.
It makes me sad when I walk in the streets these days, you know?

John 3:12-17 (New International Version, ©2010)

12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? 13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.[a] 14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,[b] 15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.”[c]
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Well said, Lu Ann! Nice to meet you! Couldn't agree with you more.

'Tis better to have a fear of falling, than to be afraid to fail.

Once you have given your life to Christ,
that's it. Your done! It's over.
There can be no turning back,
lest you wish to be a pillar of salt,
instead of the salt of the earth.

(I wrote this just 5 minutes ago, and something tells me it belongs here as well. Hope you don't mind.)

HaPpY NeW YeaR!
Peace, Keith

wow, your love for your God is evident here...

gifts are material things, as far as I know, Christmas so far has become more than the celebration of the birth of Jesus, you know about Santa Clause? business and workshops are busy produce gifts under the assumption of gifts giving and loving in communities with Santa's love...

I feel some kind of confusion...

Priceless entry, Thanks for sharing your inner thoughts with us.

A++
